Inmate at Ulster County Jail charged with making terroristic threat

KINGSTON – A man incarcerated in the Ulster County Jail has been charged with the felony of making a terroristic threat. The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office charged Kristofer Surdis, 42, of Glenford, with writing a letter he wanted to mail to a Town of Ulster business threatening specific acts of violence.
The letter was intercepted by corrections personnel before it was mailed.
Surdis remains incarcerated on charges alleging similar threats of violence
previously made to other businesses in Ulster County.
The investigation continues and authorities said more charges are possible.
