Three area school leaders recognized for service to public education

ALBANY – The New York State Association of School Business Officials
recognized three area education leaders for outstanding service to public
education and students. They were among nine who were ho0nored by the
organization.

Fred Seiler, assistant superintendent for business in the White Plains
City School District was named Outstanding School Business Official of
the Year. The award included a $1,000 donation in Seiler’s name
to the White Plains district for local use as a scholarship or special
purchase.

Andrew Lennon, director of business administration for the Mount Pleasant
Central School District was chosen as the New School Business Official
Leader of the Year. The award includes a $1,000 donation in Lennon’s
name to the Mount Pleasant district for local use as a scholarship or
special purchase.

Ann Lierow, assistant superintendent for the Greenwood Lake Union Free
School district was named to receive the Joan Colvin Starfish Award. This
award includes a $1,000 scholarship award in Lierow’s name to a
Mount Pleasant district student.
