NEWBURGH – Newburgh Town and City Police SWAT teams converged on an office building at 436 Robinson Avenue on the city line shortly after 3:30 Monday afternoon for a report of hearing someone in the building threatening people with a gun.  Police also blocked off Route 9W.
Officers from both police departments conducted a search of the building and found three uninvolved people including the caller. They were escorted from the building.
Investigation determined one of the office suites houses a production company that was doing voiceovers that involved playing recordings of a man threatening people with a gun.
The production company staff had left the building just before the police arrived.
