TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Two New York City men are under arrest after they allegedly broke into a Town of Poughkeepsie home on Fair Way.
Just before noon on June 2, a resident called town police to say someone knocked on her door and she saw two men standing outside.  She then locked herself in her bedroom as the two men broke into the house. As officers responded, the men fled and a K-9 unit tracked the men who were hiding under a large tarp several hundred yards away.
Freddy-Yovanny Ruiz-Garcia, 35, an Syrus-Edwing Pena-Guerra, 36, both of Queens were arrested and placed in the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bail each.   Both are charged with felony burglary.
