Plattekill man charged with sexual abuse of young girl

PLATTEKILL – A Modena man is accused of felony sexual abuse of a child.
State Police at Highland BCI investigated a report that a 10-year-old girl was inappropriately touched by Robert Newkirk in the Town of Plattekill last year.
Newkirk was arrested on June 1 and placed in to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
