MIDDLETOWN – The 10th Annual Hoboken Film Festival kicks off Friday evening with a red carpet full of stars at the Middletown Paramount Theater.
Comedian Gilbert Gottfried will bring his brand of humor to the program. During a pre-festival interview with Mid-Hudson News, Gottfried was asked, tongue in cheek, if he was going to be on Donald Trump’s ticket this fall.
“Yes, yes. I’ll be there. We’ll blow up the world together,” he said.
And what is Gottfried’s take on Trump’s plan to build a giant wall dividing Mexico from the US.
“To build that wall you would have to hire a few hundred Mexicans to build a wall to keep the Mexicans out,” he said. Gottfried laughed when asked if the workers would receive union wages.
The Hoboken International Film Festival will run from June 3 through 9.
