Town of Olive man arrested for burglary

KINGSTON – A Shokan man was arrested for allegedly stealing a chainsaw from a house.  Michael McCallion, 31, was charged with felony burglary on Friday.
State Police were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Route 28 in Shokan and when troopers arrived at the location near the complainant’s residence, they found McCallion in his vehicle. He claimed he was trying to sell a chainsaw to that person, but investigation determined he had entered the home without permission and stolen the device with the intent to sell it.
McCallion is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail
