HYDE PARK – Police are investigating the robbery of the Chase Bank branch at 4277 Albany Post Road in Hyde Park.
A lone man entered the bank at around 11 a.m. on Friday, ordered the customers to lie face-down on the floor and demanded money. Tellers complied and the suspect fled northbound on Albany Post Road with an undetermined amount of cash.
A K-9 tracked by both Poughkeepsie Town Police and State Police indicated the man may have run to a waiting vehicle in the neighborhood behind the bank and fled in an unknown direction.
Hyde Park, Poughkeepsie Town and State Police and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the robbery.
The bandit was last seen wearing white pants, glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored mask, dark gloves, and white sneakers.
