WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Thursday to 3 ½ to seven years in state prison after having been found guilty at trial in the death of his female companion.
Antoine Simmons, 25, was driving at a high rate of speed on Rumsey Road in Yonkers at 3:11 a.m. on October 19, 2014 when he lost control of his car and slammed into a tree splitting the car in half.
His passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt and was in the front seat, was killed instantly.
Toxicology tests revealed Simmons was under the influence of PCP and marijuana at the time of the crash.
