NEW CITY – Rockland County Executive Edwin Day named Dr. Penny Jennings as the county’s new commissioner of human rights on Monday. In her role, she will also be director of community development.
Jennings has been involved in numerous organizations and has focused her career on bringing people together, “how to engage different parts of the community, how to unite the community behind a common goal,” Day said.
A resident of Pomona, Jennings will replace Ram Nagubandi, who resigned. The job pays $102,000 annually.  She holds a doctorate degree in law and policy.
