Ceeremonial grand opening for Clemson Brothers Brewery is Saturday

MIDDLETOWN – The City of Middletown’s first brewery and restaurant, Clemson Brothers Brewery, has been open for six months and has now added a beer garden complete with an outdoor bar serving several of their own brews as well as a special menu for dining.
Owner Kenan Porter will officially open the garden on Saturday, but gave a sneak peek on Thursday.
“The whole atmosphere behind the beer garden is supposed to be community, communal talking, hanging out and having some fun,” Porter said. “It’s every bit of a garden you can think of; young right now but in a couple of years it will grow right in, but we did the best we could to get it as earthy and green as possible. When you think about a beer garden you think community, people just hanging out having fun, and I think we nailed every front on that.”
A second brew pub is planned in Middletown.  City officials said they will both add much to the economic development and tourist trade in the city.
