CLAVERACK – Three Columbia County men were remanded to the county
jail in lieu of bail after they allegedly attacked an acquaintance with
a folding chair.
Charged with felony robbery in the 1 a.m. Sunday incident in Claverack
Town Park are Derek Peeters, 22, Erik Shook, 26, and David Zukowski, Jr.,
27. State Police investigated and arrested them on Wednesday.
The three allegedly beat the victim with the chair and forcibly stole
his cell phone and wallet.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed
it or who has knowledge of the three suspects is asked to call the State
Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Livingston at 845-677-7300.
They were committed to the Columbia County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or
$10,000 bond each.
