Ulster man charged after road rage incident

KINGSTON – State Police arrested a Shokan man following a road rage incident in Olive on May 9 during which he allegedly brandished a firearm at another person.            
Investigation later identified the man as Ernest Townsend, 65, of Shokan, who was charged with menacing as a misdemeanor.  He was also found in possession of over eight ounces of marijuana and an illegally possessed firearm, a pistol, resulting in the marijuana charge being elevated to a felony, as well as criminal possession of a weapon as a misdemeanor.
