Man shot in Beacon

BEACON – A 21-year-old Beacon man was shot in the back as he walked
with a friend on North Walnut Street Sunday evening after 8 p.m.

City Police Chief Douglas Solomon said the victim sustained one gunshot
wound and did not appear to suffer a life threatening injury. He was taken
to the hospital for treatment.

The assailant is unknown and police are continuing to investigate the
incident.
