KIRYAS JOEL – Federal authorities from a number of agencies were at the Village of Kiryas Joel on Thursday removing potential evidence in an investigation into possible child abuse. An FBI spokeswoman would only say that an investigation was underway in the village.
The investigators raided the United Talmudic Academy, the public safety offices and the school district, with agents carrying boxes of materials as well as computers from the school and the public safety office.
The United Talmudic Academy is where an educator was seen on video with a male student in what some believe to be inappropriate touching.
