HUDSON – A Columbia County grand jury has declined to indict a Greenport man, who was charged with criminal sexual act as a felony punishable by up to 25 years in state prison.
Alexander Dombrowski, a former paramedic for the Greenport Rescue Squad, was charged last October with trying to force a female coworker to perform a sex act on him while she was a passenger in his car.
The grand jury voted a “no true bill” dismissing both the charges against Dombrowski after examining the evidence in the case including the woman’s claim that she bit the man when he tried to force himself on her.
Investigation by the defense revealed the woman had made several claims of sexual misconduct against other co-workers in the past. Those prior allegations against other co-workers made the woman’s latest claim “all the more unbelievable,” said Dombrowski’s attorney, Michael Pollok.
