HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON – By a nearly three-to-one margin, Bruce Bendish was endorsed by the Westchester County Republican Committee as their candidate for district attorney in the November election.
GOP Chairman Tony Piscionere, who worked with Bendish in the District Attorney’s Office under Carl Vergari, called him “a legend as a prosecutor” who as chief of the homicide bureau dealt with “the worst of the worst criminals in Westchester County.”
This is Bendish’s first foray into public office. He served for 14 years in the DA’s office as both chief of homicide and chief of the Special Investigations Bureau.  The White Plains resident later went on to start his own law practice.
