POUGHKEEPSIE – Preliminary grants totaling $924,000 through the Dutchess County Community Development Block grant program have been awarded to 10 projects benefiting 11 municipalities, County Executive Marcus Molinaro announced Thursday.
“I’ve asked our county to ‘Think Differently’ about residents of all abilities, and this round of applications shows communities are doing just that,” Molinaro said. “Many of the applications, and projects awarded, embrace that spirit and will improve access to facilities and resources that make Dutchess County a special place to live and raise a family.”
Funding for the program comes from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and is geared to support community development projects which benefit low- and moderate-income communities.
