MIDDLETOWN – The Middletown Board of Estimate approved spending $25,000 to continue studies previously begun.
The think-tank organization Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress will move forward on their research, said Mayor Joseph DeStefano, a member of the board of estimate.
“Their focus this year is the continuation of the relationship
with SUNY Orange and the continuation of some great projects we have been
working on and some urban planning,” DeStefano said. “This
is the third year for Pattern and we believe it has been very successful
especially on infrastructure ideas and to the programs that they offer.”
The SUNY Orange study will look at the possibility of future student
housing at the college.
The city’s common council must now approve the expenditure.
