Inmate assault at Ulster Jail

KINGSTON – An inmate at the Ulster County Jail is charged with assault for allegedly striking another inmate with a broom handle to his head and arm. The victim was treated by medical staff at the jail.
An investigation by detectives in the sheriff’s office revealed that inmate Dimetri Moseley, 22, of Poughkeepsie, struck the victim while they were involved in a physical altercation.  That attack occurred on April 17 and Moseley was charged on April 25. Other charges may be filed.
Moseley remains in jail and will be arraigned at a later date.
