KINGSTON – The Ulster County public auction of properties with unpaid
taxes resulted in the sale of 89 of the 183 parcels offered. The auction
was held on April 20.

Taxes owed on the properties sold amounted to slightly under $1.2 million
while the amount of bids offered totaled just under $1.7 million.

Of those sold 56 were vacant land with no buildings.

County Finance Commissioner Burton Gulnick, Jr. said the number of sold
parcels and revenue collected was about the same as last year.

All bids offered at auction are required to be paid in full within 15
business days.
