GOSHEN – Work will commence shortly on the reconstruction of the Orange County Government Center in Goshen.
The existing structure has been stripped down to the poured concrete frame.  County Executive Steven Neuhaus said the job of reconstructing the existing portions and construction of a new wing will begin any day.
“You are going to see gradually, day after day, week after week, work is starting to ramp up on all facets of the building and that will continue until the building is complete, which we believe will be late fall of 2017,” Neuhaus said.
The building was originally constructed in three sections, one of which was demolished to make way for a new structure.

Much of the original skeleton will be a part of the new government center, pleasing some who argued the
Paul Rudolph design is architecturally significant
