TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A fight between two women at a Town of Newburgh motel resulted in injuries and assault charges to both.
Town Police were called to the Havarest Motel on Route 9W around 5 p.m. on Saturday where they found the women in a room who had assaulted each other with a number of blunt objects. Justine Brown, 27, of Newburgh and Alexis Casey, 24, of Carmel both sustained injuries to their heads, faces, arms and hands that required immediate medical attention.
Once they were treated at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital’s Newburgh Campus they were each charged with felony assault and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon. The women were arraigned in Newburgh Town Court and committed to the Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance.
