HOWELLS – The Town of Wallkill has come to an agreement with Eric McCue of Bangor Abatement Services to manage Korn’s Campground for the 2016 camping season.
The company plans to open the facility on May 1 as the town had promised.
The town purchased the facility from the Korn family last fall for $680,000.
“Part of the RFP required them to offer events, also to maintain the campaigns and increase some of the facilities there and potentially expand the number of campsites in the future,” Town Supervisor Daniel Depew said. “These are all things they are committed to.”
The town has already performed a number of upgrades on the property.
