SHAWANGUNK – A Town of Montgomery man was committed to the Ulster
County Jail following his arrest on a felony charge of forcible rape.
The incident allegedly occurred on Wednesday, March 16; James Dunn, Jr.,
51, was arrested the following day.
State Police said it is alleged that Dunn had forced and unwanted sex
with an adult female while in a private home in the Town of Shawangunk.
The two were acquainted prior to the incident, police said.
Dunn was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $100,000
cash bail or $300,000 bond.
