SAUGERTIES – The URGENT Task Force arrested a Saugerties man following an undercover investigation into heroin trafficking in the Village and Town of Saugerties.
As a result, police conducted a traffic stop and found Jason Cavallaro, 29, in possession of 42 bags of heroin, 12 clonazepam tablets and three suboxone strips.
He was charged with felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance, heroin, with intent to sell, three counts of misdemeanor drug possession, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
Cavallaro was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
