Brooklyn woman arrested for smuggling drugs into Ulster prison

NAPANOCH – A Brooklyn woman has been arrested for allegedly smuggling
drugs into the Ulster Correctional Facility in Napanoch.

State Police charged Deonia Jones, 30, with promoting prison contraband,
criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

She was arrested after she was located trying to smuggle suboxone, “K-2,”
synthetic marijuana and marijuana into the prison while visiting an inmate
there.

She was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail
or $7,500 bond.
