Port Jervis man gets long prison sentence on drug charges

GOSHEN – A Port Jervis man was sentenced to 12 years in state prison
and three years of post-release supervision on each of three felony narcotics
cases.
On February 8, Anthony Maillet, 35, pled guilty to two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession. At the time, he admitted to selling cocaine in the City of Port Jervis on October 31, 2014 and selling heroin on November 18, 2014 in Port Jervis. He also admitted possessing 96 decks of heroin with intent to sell them in Port Jervis on May 7, 2015.
On May 7, 2015 while out on bail, police responded to a civilian complaint of suspicious drug activity in the parking lot of the Family Dollar store on Jersey Avenue. When detectives responded, they found Maillet in his minivan with 96 glassine envelopes with heroin. He also had more than one-eighth ounce of crack cocaine and 10 methadone pills.
Maillet also sold narcotics to undercover officers of the Orange County Drug Task Force and on October 31, 2014, he sold cocaine to an undercover officer for $200. On November 18, 2014, he sold heroin to an undercover officer for $300.
