YONKERS – Approximately 2,100 gallons of #4 heating oil spilled at 125 Bronx River Road in Yonkers Monday morning and the state Department of Environmental Conservation is involved in the cleanup.
The oil spilled from a tanker truck. Some 1,500 gallons were contained by members of the Yonkers Fire Department.
The DEC remained on the scene to oversee the ongoing cleanup of the spill and investigation of the spill an investigation into potential contamination.
