Sweet Sally
DEERPARK – Deerpark Town Police are investigating the discovery
of a female pit bull terrier that was found on Route 209 in an extremely
emaciated condition on February 24.
The dog named“Sweet Sally” by staff at the Humane Society
of Port Jervis/Deerpark, was transferred to the Oradell Veterinary Hospital
in Paramus, New Jersey for additional medical care, but her condition
was severe and she died.
Police have followed up on several tips and have conducted interviews. Anyone with information about Sweet Sally is asked to call Deerpark Police in confidence at 845-856-4333.
The Humane Society is posting a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
