Poughkeepsie woman charged with welfare fraud, larceny

POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie woman is accused of receiving over $18,000 in social services benefits from Dutchess County to which she was not entitled.
Constance McGill-Boyrie, 47, was charged with grand larceny and welfare fraud for allegedly stealing $18,594 in Medicare and SNAP benefits during a three-year period beginning in September 2011 by concealing the fact that she had other income in the household.
McGill-Boyrie was arrested on Wednesday, February 24 and charged with grand larceny and welfare fraud as felonies.  She was released on pending a future court appearance.
