Sleepy Hollow Police investigate report of an attempted luring of a child

SLEEPY HOLLOW – Police are investigating the report of an attempted
luring of a child that reportedly occurred Friday, February 26.

Sleepy Hollow Police Chief Greg Camp said the incident is reported to
have taken place between 6:50 a.m. and 7 a.m. in the area of Francis Street
and Barnhardt Avenue.

Police were told that a man driving an older model silver, two-door vehicle
motioned to a female student with his hands. The student did not know
the person. She believes he may have been motioning for her to come to
or get into his vehicle. She ignored this and the vehicle drove off.

The driver was described as an elderly white man with black or brown hair
and wearing a baseball type black cap with a red K on it.

the matter or any other similar incident is asked to call Sleepy Hollow
