MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Probation Department was closed Thursday due to minor flooding in the county Government Center Annex. Torrential rains came down Wednesday night causing flash flooding in areas of the region.

The Public Works Department is working to rectify the water issues as soon as possible so the probation department office can reopen to the public.
On the southern end of the Hudson Valley, the Ramapo River at Mahwah, New Jersey and Suffern, New York, was expected to experience minor flooding and crested Thursday evening.
