Kingston man sentenced for raping minor

KINGSTON – A Kingston man has been sentenced to five years in state
prison and 10 years of post-release supervision for his conviction of
rape in connection with the sexual assault on a 14 year old victim.

Durwin Ennist, also known as “Charms,” of 380 Boulevard in
Kingston, will be required to register as a sex offender for at least
20 years and a full “stay away” order of protection was issued
for the victim until 2039. Ennist was also ordered to pay $1,425 in court
fees.

The case stems from an incident where Ennist has sex with the victim at
121 Clinton Avenue in the City f Kingston in the early morning hours of
January 1, 2015.

He was represented by Mariann Connolly of Kingston. The case was prosecuted
by Assistant District Attorney Joey Drillings.
