NEW CITY – Five people were arrested in Rockland County for allegedly submitting letters falsely stating that community service conditions had been satisfactorily met. The false documents were presented to the Clarkstown Justice Court claiming to be authored by organizations for which the defendants had ostensibly performed court-ordered community service.
Charged with forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument, both felonies, were Maria Pagliaroli, 22, of Blauvelt; Brandi Bourguignon, 19, of Spring Valley; Keesha Civil, 19, of Spring Valley; Stephanie Cumberbatch, 24, of Haverstraw; and Shaquille Craddock, 22, of New Hempstead.
“Community service represents an important obligation for those sentenced to complete it,” said District Attorney Thomas Zugibe.
