KINGSTON – A Red Hook woman pled guilty in Ulster County Court on Friday to felony grand larceny for stealing $155,594 from her boss by placing unauthorized charges on his business and personal credit cards.
Maureen Leggett, 53, admitted to stealing the funds from January 23, 2013 through April 6, 2015 while working as the bookkeeper for an area business.  In addition to the credit card uses, she wrote checks and deposited the stolen money into her husband’s account.
This is Leggett’s third felony arrest for grand larceny and falsifying business records. She was convicted in 2006 and 2009 for similar schemes.
She faces 3 ½ to seven years in state prison when sentenced in Ulster County Court in April.
