Two injured when fire extinguishers explode

MECHANICSTOWN – Two people were injured Friday morning when fire
extinguishers exploded at a commercial building in the Mechanicstown section
of the Town of Wallkill.

Emergency officials said the 9:30 a.m. call was at Oprandy’s Fire
and Safety, 59 Brookline Drive.

Two medical helicopters were launched to transport the injured persons
to the hospital. One was reported to have a leg amputated.
