TOWN OF WOODBURY – Investigators are looking at two fires that destroyed homes in the Town of Woodbury on Monday.
A pre-dawn blaze at 36 Pearce Drive gutted the two-story structure. As of Monday afternoon, the owner/occupant of the house was not located. There was no car in the garage or driveway and authorities said the owner’s daughter was not heard from either.
About ten hours later, a second fire, apparently unrelated, occurred on Hazard Lane.
In both incidents, fire departments were called in under mutual aid to assist Woodbury firefighters.
