Spring Valley Police investigate two stabbings on one day

SPRING VALLEY – Two people were stabbed in separate incidents in
Spring Valley on Sunday and village police are investigating both cases.

Just before 5 a.m. officers responded to 118 South Main Street and found
a 16-year-old male with a stab wound to his forearm. He told police he
was stabbed at a different location believed to be 55 Maple Avenue.

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.

The suspect is a Hispanic man and the investigation is continuing.

At 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, police investigating the stabbing of a woman
at 98 Bethune Boulevard. She had a cut to her hand and was bleeding from
the back of her head.

The assault took place at a Super Bowl party, according to the victim.

Rockland Paramedics and Spring Hill Ambulance responded to the scene,
but the victim refused medical attention.

The investigation into that assault is also continuing.
