Ellenville gets state grant for street sweeper

ALBANY – The Village of Ellenville is going to purchase a street sweeper thanks to a state grant.
Street sweeping has been defined by the Environmental Protection Agency as a best practice in preventing storm runoff. The machine will help environmentally, but will also have the benefit of helping to provide a clean appearance for the village’s streets.
“I have no doubt that these funds will be used in a positive way, to help the Village of Ellenville, promote good environmental practices, and save taxpayer money,” said Senator John Bonacic, who secured the $50,000 grant.
