Neuhaus is hoping the groundhog was right, that winter
will end soon and construction can begin
GOSHEN – Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus signed the contract with Rizzo Construction, the general contractor selected in the reconstruction of the county government center in Goshen, paving the way for the work to begin.
The county executive expects construction trailers to be located onsite in the next few weeks.
“The weather we have seen has not been outrageous,” Neuhaus noted. “We are almost through the winter if you think about it. We are into February so I expect them to have smooth sailing. I know the contractors want to get in and get to work and the sooner they are done, the more money they save on themselves not having people on the site.”
The project includes rebuilding a portion of the facility with new construction to replace the center section of the building that was recently razed.
