Three people arrested, two loaded guns seized, in latest Newburgh incident

NEWBURGH – Three people were arrested by Newburgh Police following a report of a fight with shots fired in the city.
When police arrived on the scene at 253 South William Street on January 23, they found several people in the street. No one had been struck by gunfire.
Two people were spotted getting into an SUV and taking off.  Officers stopped the vehicle at 213 South William and found two loaded handguns in the car – a .44 caliber revolver and a .380 semi-automatic handgun.
Arrested were Bianca Colon, 27, of Beacon; and Shaheem Seda, 18, and Qaadir Smith, 25, both of the City of Newburgh.  All three were charged with felony weapons possession.
Following the arrest, Smith was found in possession of 16 grams of crack cocaine and five additional 44.caliber bullets. As a result, he was charged with felony drug possession.
