KINGSTON – Mayor Steven Noble launched his campaign to promote the City of Kingston as a great place to live, work, play and visit on Monday. He wants to engage city residents in its development. The “Welcome to Our Hometown” outreach campaign commences with development of the 2016 Kingston Visitors Guide.
“The mission of the Visitors Guide is to market Kingston as a special place to visit,” the mayor said. “Who better to help with this effort that those who call Kingston Home?”
Noble said the message to the visitor is that “our entire city welcomes them.”
The city is collecting photographs to include in the visitors guide and to improve its website, social media and other outreach tools. Noble is looking for recent as well as historic photos, which will be credited to the photographer and used for Kingston tourism, outreach and communications purposes.
Photos to be considered for the guide must be submitted by Monday, February 8 on the city’s website at www.kingston-ny.gov .
