WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man faces up to 25 years in state prison
for his conviction on Friday in Westchester County Court to manslaughter
and criminal possession of a weapon.

Antonio Barnett, 23, is accused of chasing the victim, David Benitez,
down a ramp leading to apartment buildings at the Schlobohm Houses on
Schroeder Street, and then stabbing him in the back with a kitchen knife.

The attack was captured on surveillance video outside a deli at 45 Palisade
Avenue.

Police were called and found Benitez bleeding heavily. He was transported
to an area hospital where he died two hours later.

Barnett was located nearby and arrested. The knife used in the attack
was recovered on the roof of a nearby building.

He remains in the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.
