TOWN OF WALLKILL – For the second day in a row, another threat was called into an Enlarged Middletown City School District school building on Wednesday morning.
Wallkill Police were notified before 10 a.m. Wednesday that the Monhagen Middle School at 555 County Route 78 received a bomb threat. The school was placed in lockdown as Wallkill, Middletown and State Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
Police requested that the Pocatello Fire Department report on standby at their quarters.
By about 12:15 p.m. the investigation was completed and the call was determined to be unfounded.
On Tuesday, the Maple Hill Elementary School, also in Wallkill, received a call reporting a person with a gun was on the campus. An extensive search of the campus turned up nothing.
The Middletown school district and FBI are assisting in the investigation.
