STONE RIDGE – State Police at Ellenville are investigating a threat made against the Marbletown Elementary School in Stone Ridge that came in the form of “correspondence.”
Police said that correspondence appears to be similar in nature to previous threats sent to the school in 2014.
When this latest threat was made, school officials initiated a lockout and as a precaution cancelled after-school programs.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at Ellenville at 845-626-2800.
Troopers are being assisted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office with both agencies increasing patrols in the area.
