Kingston man charged with stabbing over living arrangements

KINGSTON – City Police in Kingston charged a Kingston man with
felony assault following an early morning stabbing that occurred Wednesday.
At about 2:50 a.m., police responded to 173 ½ TenBroeck Avenue for a report of an assault and found a 43-year-old man who had been stabbed several times. He was transported to the HealthAlliance Broadway Campus and transferred to Albany Medical Center. Police said he is in stable condition and the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Police arrested Scott Bain, 57, of TenBroeck Avenue at the scene. Officers said the victim had been involved in a dispute with Bain over living arrangements in the building. The dispute escalated and Bain stabbed the victim several times in the body and head.
