KINDERHOOK – A 65-year-old man, who became unresponsive during a Kinderhook Village Board meeting on Wednesday evening, was revived by state troopers.
Village Hall shares office space in Kinderhook with the State Police and when a man attending the meeting was not breathing and had no discernible pulse, a clerk quickly knocked on the troopers’ door.  Two officers responded to administer first aid including chest compressions and an automated external defibrillator.
Columbia County 911 was also alerted.
After two shocks were administered, the man regained consciousness and was cared for by troopers until the Valatie Rescue Squad and personnel from the Kinderhook Fire Department arrived.
Police said the man had no recollection of the events and is expected to make a full recovery.
