Dutchess Central and Information Services commissioner to retire

POUGHKEEPSIE – After 37 years serving Dutchess County Government, the last 13 as commissioner of the Office of Central and Information Services, Timothy Mahler is going to retire in May.
County Executive Marcus Molinaro announced Mahler’s plan to step down on Monday.
The long-time public servant began his career with county government
in 1979 as a computer programmer and worked his way up the ladder until
his appointment as commissioner in 2003 by then County Executive William
Steinhaus.
In 2013, Mahler’s responsibilities expanded beyond information technology computer services with the merger of the Office of Computer Information Services and the Department of Central Services as part of Molinaro’s efforts to consolidate government.
