Spring Valley man arrested after allegedly menacing woman with scissors and 8-inch kitchen knife

STONY POINT – A Spring Valley man with two prior felony convictions
and who is on parole, was remanded to the Rockland County Jail on felony
charges of criminal possession of a weapon following a domestic dispute
in Stony Point.

Town Police said on January 7, Neil Tash, 30, allegedly threatened the
victim with a pair of scissors and an eight-inch kitchen knife. It is
also alleged that Tash damaged a door at the residence.

The incident occurred in the presence of a five-year-old.

Tash turned himself in on an active arrest warrant to face the charge
of weapon possession as well as criminal mischief, menacing and endangering
the welfare of a child.
